Went in for an oil leak on my 1999 Toyota Sienna, paying $1800.00. The leak was not fixed and the costs included other work that the service guy recommended.
Complaint filed with Toyota. Toyota Response: No guarantee the oil leak will be fixed (needs to do trial and error) with customer paying.
The service guy persuaded me to do additional work in addition to fixing the leak. I told the service guy that I am planning to selling the car maybe in the near future. You would think a mechanic could fix an oil leak for $1,800, especially when he's the one that says he can fix it and sets the price.
