Bought a car from them not too long ago and I swear, ALL the Toyota dealerships around the DFW are so pushy and dishonest! Picked out a car and decided to finance with Toyota. During the financing process, my wife and I told them nothing but gap insurance on the car. Well, I could have known better, when I read the contract a couple of days later, I found that they put the extended warranty in there without my knowledge or authorization. Called them back and they said it's a legal contract, they can't do anything about it. Got mad, went up to the dealership again and they basically gave me the "F you" attitude. Called Toyota and complained and they couldn't do anything, stating it's a legal contract and can't be changed. They said they'll take that $1000 out at the end of the 5th year. I'm sure that won't happen. Oh, and to make things worse, our salesman was my dad's friend. The finance guy was my dad's friend's brother. And he still did us wrong! After experiencing some horrible treatment from Freeman and other Toyota dealerships around DFW, I think I'll go with Honda for my next car purchase, which will be within a year because my daughter will need one.

Complaint filed with Toyota. Toyota Response: Said they will take $1000 off at the end of the 5th year, when the car note is going to be matured.

Toyota cars are good but with their dealer service I don't think it's worth buying a toyota ever again.

I visited Freeman Toyota in Hurst TX on 8-3-2011, interested in buying a 2011 Prius. At the time of contract signing, the purchase price was changed to $1000 more, and the trade-in was changed to $1000 less. When the sales manager, Russell Hussein was questioned, he claimed the car mats, first payment free, and the sales tax from the trade-in was thrown into the purchase price...what? Also, his excuse for the lower trade-in value was the costs of the first payment, car mats and sales tax savings...that's what was thrown in on the original sales price. I went to Irving Toyota, got the price I wanted for my trade-in, and the SAME type of Prius was $2000 less on their sticker price. The sales manager from Freeman did call me an hour later to say he w ould honor the original agreement...isn't that what you're supposed to do? I thought it was because I was a woman but I think they're pulling fast ones on everyone. I will not have service done at Freeman, even though it's convenient. These people are PIRATES.

My 2008 Camry is the first, and last, Toyota I will ever own. Previously I owned an Infiniti, and had it serviced at Grubbs Infiniti (which is an excellent dealer in the DFW area). My main complaint against Freeman Toyota is with their customer service, or the lack thereof.

When you arrive at the dealer to get your car serviced, there is no one waiting to help you in any way, and the service clerks will not volunteer to get your information. You must go up to a service window, and tell them what you want to do. They then take your keys, and point you to the waiting room.

When you walk into the waiting room I swear to God you think you are in Somalia. It is this tiny little room with about 30 of the most uncomfortable chairs you have ever seen, with cold coffee and nothing to munch on. There is something like a 13" TV hanging in the corner which looks like it just escaped from Hell. The room reeks of BO and is usually filled with people. I don't think that room has ever been disinfected.

When your car is finally ready to go they call you "Invoice number XXXXX your car is ready to be picked up".

It boils down to this: Toyota wants to sell you a car, and post purchase they could care less. Customer service at Toyota is horrible. If you have bought or own a Toyota in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, take it to Park Place Lexus in Grapevine. They charge a little more but the customer service is world class.

This is ridiculous! First, let me state that I am only driver of this car and I live alone. I bought a 2008 Camry LE from Freeman Toyota back in January of 2008. The car didn't come with leather at least that particular model. I decided to add leather to the car at $1500 extra. In the end of 2008 I notice that the leather was peeling off in the driver seat area. In 2009 Lone Star Leather came out and repaired the leather by stripping down my car seat by replacing another leather cover on it. In March 2010, I've notice that the leather was peeling off in the back see passenger area and in the front seat passenger area. I contacted Freeman Toyota to explain this to them and they referred me back to Lone Star Leather. Tony at Lone Star Leather wanted to know how many miles I had on my car. I told him at that time that it was only about 43,000. He said that it may not be any thing we can do for it because the warranty expired after 36000 miles. I explained to him that I drive every day in this car and it is only me that used the car. I also explained that the leather start peeling in the first year. He came out to my house after 3 weeks or more and decided that he would talk to his manager about the problem. The next business day he came back and said that there will be a cost of $250 + to do the job since it is not in warranty. I spoke to Toyota about and show them how the leather was peeling. They kicked it back to Lone Star Leather to a woman name Debbie who they don't have a last name. Tony at Lone Star Leather doesn't know the last name either, but they came back asking for the repair cost to be paid out of my pocket. I responded back to Freeman Toyota telling about how I was so disappointed with their product and toss around I have been given between Freeman and Lone Star Leather which this should be replaced free of charge because of the leather was poorly treated. At this time I was speaking with the manager of customer service, Mike. I don't remember his last name but he informed that he will talk to his manage Shannon Grove and Shannon but I have been waiting for a week and I haven't heard from Shannon. 5/12/2010 9:25:23 AM
